Reviews

1st Prioress in Diologue of the Carmelites Brandenburg Cathedral, Germany "This is a great occupation, as a result of which Kristin Patterson, the dying Prioress, is to be mentioned. The traces of the nun's heavy way of life make the altist heard expressively without producing pressure. At the same time, the scene of death, deep in the skin, was the highlight."

By Klaus Büstrin

Helen in Anne Dinsmore Phillips’ Table #9, Carnegie Hall, New York, NY “got some of the biggest laughs of the night due to its Seinfeld-ian nature of being virtually about nothing, just the two ladies having brunch. Kristin Patterson’s powerful alto voice made the irony of the piece play out all the more achingly sweet.”

Chris McGovern, Sequenza 21/11-11

Ulrica in Un Ballo in Maschera Opera in the Heights, Houston, TX "Kristin Patterson steals Act I (as she should) with her brilliant portrayal of the blind fortuneteller Ulrica and her rich contralto singing and charismatic presence."

Buzz Bellmont, The Critic’s Critic/Chron.commons/02-10

"Mezzo Kristin Patterson serves up singing so unforgettable, we almost don’t notice her role of Ulrica has the dramatic curse of appearing in Act I and then never showing up again."

John DeMers/Houston Arts Week/02-10

"(Kristin Patterson in) the rich contralto role of Ulrica…sings and acts exceptionally..."

D.L. Groover, Lee Williams/ Houston Press/02-10

"Kristin Patterson had a startlingly rich mezzo..."
